Now the festive period is over, I have re-started writing my new novel which is a spin-off to a trilogy I completed last year. I am nearly 10,000 words in. I think the finished work will be around 100,000 words so I am 10% of the way there!
Ruth,
I love to tick off the achievements along the way of a major writing project, too. I am inching closer to the 20,000 word mark, and the story is opening in intriguing ways for me. Good luck to you, too.
Nancy Dafoe
Thanks Nancy, good luck too 🙂
Starting the New Year with a new reading engagement, meeting with a professor to discuss coming to his class to talk about writing, and working on a new mystery. Also, I’m trying to stay warm. In the Northeast, we’re socked in with bitter cold and tons of snow, so venturing out is always interesting. Fortunately, this gives me time to work on my writing. I’m working on a new mystery, really a ghost story. I’m also writing a fable (which I have never written before but the material demanded the form). I will be starting the third book in the Vena Goodwin series soon. Of course, I’m also writing my blogs (both the writing blog and a political blog on separate sites). I entered my novel You Enter a Room on BookBub and am expanding my email list.
Yes, starting into the new year with goals set. Working on the 8th book in the Twelve Dancing Princess series. I’m about half way. Writing the blurb for Sweet Surrender and deciding on an excerpt. Looking forward to lots of releases in 2018.
I’m wrapping up several promotional giveaways today for the prequel to my Bernie’s Legacy series. Next up is formatting book 1 of that series for print. I also continue to work on the second book of my Collie Chronicles series.
Nice to hear progress from others. Nancy, my thoughts are with you and everyone who is caught in the bitter cold, but love that you see it as an opportunity to write!
Keep up the great work everyone. Looking forward to all your inspiration..
In 2018 I’ll complete Whispers of Death, a suspense thriller touching paranormal. I’m about thirty percent into the novel(30,000 word words). I’ll continue writing short stories and submit them to magazines and contests. I plan on reading about ten novels by RPP authors and complete a review. Good luck to all RPP authors in 2018.
