Hi, everyone! Today at RPP we are focusing on some of our favorite sexy covers. Covers are very important in marketing and selling an ebook. It is the first thing to catch the readers attention. With the cover you want to snare the reader’s attention, get them to delve deeper, find out more about your book.

When working with a cover artist, first the cover needs to be unique to that specific book. Since we are looking at sexy covers, we are speaking to the romance genre. Let’s start with the background. Since The Wager is one of my covers, I’ll give you the steps that were taken. One of the settings for The Wager is London, England. Searching for an iconic place in London, I was able to find a photo of Big Ben. The white rose at the bottom of the cover is Amorica’s flower. This is the second book in a twelve book series where each leading lady has their favorite flower. How do you make it sexy? The couple, or the male or female that is picked for the cover will do the trick. I like to make sure the face of the male and female are not directly seen, since we all have different ideas about handsome and beautiful. The pictures are stock photos. Popular ones have been used many times so making your cover unique and sexy is the responsibility of your cover artist. It’s also important if you have a series that the individual books have some commonality such as the font, and in my case the flower for each individual.
