Make Your Blog Work For You: Share
Want more people to see your blog? Learn where to share it.
I’ve been tweeting, Facebooking, and using Pinterest for years. It’s just now I’ve learned of different places to share my blog.

Pick One Social Media To Use For Marketing
It seems there is so much to learn about marketing that I’m starting to pull my hair. However, I’m thankful I’ve already used, to some degree, most of the social media outlets I’m going to talk about today. While with the others I will be in learning mode. As I said above you need to first pick something you are familiar with to learn how to share. First of all, Facebook is probably the most popular among writers. After all, who doesn’t have a Facebook? The next question is, do you have an author page on Facebook and do you use it? Ideally, if you have a lot of followers, or a long email list, you can ask your readers what they follow. Why post to Instagram if no one who reads your work has an Instagram account?
Facebook groups
In addition, there are groups on Facebook. If you scroll down the left side, you will find an icon; groups. Click on this icon and it will take you to all types of groups. You can pick as many as you would like and you can create your own group. I’ve used groups befor,e but I wasn’t consistent and at the time there was no way I could see if it was bringing more people to read my book. In addition, I’ve never shared my blogs with my groups. Hence, one more thing to do.
I’m sure a lot of you use twitter. I’ve seen statistics amount to approximately 300 million monthly users. Yet I’m not sure how well twitter will work. It’s easy to do. Blogs have a block of share buttons at the bottom of the post, twitter being one of them. All you have to do is click the twitter button. As with everything else, you need to be consistent and share often. Now you might say, I only have 60 friends. Therefore, how do I access these millions of tweeters? You have to interact often to gain followers and traffic. In addition, you also have to manage your blog consistently. Furthermore, if you post, make sure you use #’s and key words so that your post will show up on SEO’s; search engines.
Once again, with Instagram as with twitter, one has to have followers. So if you have forty followers, it doesn’t matter that Instagram has approximately 500 million active monthly users. Most likely, there are probably ways your photos can be shared with more than just your followers, but I haven’t figured that out yet. I’ve just recently begun using Instagram. You don’t have to have a camera on your phone to use Instagram. If you email your photo to yourself, you can post on Instagram. Again, use #’s and lot’s of key words. The better the SEO, the more people will see it. Instagram does not have a share button at the bottom of the blog.
In conclusion, there are more sites where you promote and share your blog. My favorite now is Pinterest. I haven’t talked about Pinterest, but will do so next week. Finally, if you would like to check out the Rogue Phoenix Press
