Great Anthology

The book Once Upon a Christmas Moon is an anthology of three stories. Each story touches three different genre: Romance, fantasy and Science fiction. Twelve Days to Love by Christine Young is a romance story about Calanthe Durand, a single young woman in charge of a plantation near New Orleans a few years post-civil war and her encounter with Archer Steele, a single man, who has amorous intentions toward Cali (Calanthe). Cali must contend with a hurricane, a handsome, rich pursuer for her love, an unscrupulous people wanting to take her plantation. These three elements propel a well-written story to a climatic ending.
The next story: Boots and Blades by C.L. Kraemer is a fantasy story about Tia (Tiamoon) and her talking horse, Pony. Tia, a gnome warrior and her horse, Pony, set out in the mountainous area of Oregon to assist in the strange disappearance of flatland children from her Aunt Luna’s village in the High Desert of Central Oregon. It is fast moving story with villains, a retired warrior, evil gnomepire children, a gnome with wings and a sinister master gnomepire. All these characters make for an adventurous, thrilling story of evil, compassion and comradery.
Christmas Pawsibilities by Genie Gabriel is a fantasy story about Dori (Dorinda), a woman who can transform into a magical creature part elf and part Leprechaun (elfenchaun) and her future wedding with Ryan Madison in the twenty-first century. Lacee Levereaux, a budding actress, with a foreboding past becomes involved with the relationship between the future newlyweds. A broken toy, Ryan’s inventor uncle, time travel will play a part in this enjoyable, mystical adventure.
All three stories are a must read for readers, no matter their genre preference. As a mystery/suspense author, I pleasantly enjoyed the anthology Once Upon a Christmas Moon.
